Just had to go through a hot water tank replacement, and I figured I’d share my experience for anyone wondering how long it takes. Honestly, it depends on the size of the tank and the setup, but for me, the entire job was done in about 3 to 4 hours. The old tank had to be drained, disconnected, and hauled out before the new one went in. I used Sabtech Plumbing, and they were super efficient—handled everything from start to finish without any stress. If your tank is in a tough spot or if new piping is needed, it might take longer, but usually half a day is enough.
